Be clever, play brilliant, and become versed in craps the correct way!

Dice and dice games goes back to the Middle Eastern Crusades, but current craps is approximately a century old. Current craps come about from the ancient English game referred to as Hazard. Nobody knows for certain the beginnings of the game, although Hazard is believed to have been created by the Anglo, Sir William of Tyre, around the twelfth century. It’s presumed that Sir William’s knights played Hazard during a blockade on the castle Hazarth in 1125 AD. The title Hazard was gotten from the fortress’s name.

Early French colonists imported the game Hazard to Canada. In the 18th century, when banished by the English, the French headed south and settled in the south of Louisiana where they a while later became Cajuns. When they departed Acadia, they brought their favored game, Hazard, along. The Cajuns simplified the game and made it more mathematically fair. It’s believed that the Cajuns changed the name to craps, which is gotten from the name of the losing toss of snake-eyes in the game of Hazard, recognized as "crabs."

From Louisiana, the game migrated to the Mississippi scows and across the nation. A few acknowledge the dice maker John H. Winn as the founder of current craps. In the early 1900s, Winn created the modern craps setup. He added the Don’t Pass line so gamblers can wager on the dice to lose. At another time, he created the boxes for Place bets and added the Big 6, Big 8, and Hardways.
