You see a table with a couple of open spots. Which seat should you take? That’s a matter of individual preference. Is there a gorgeous man or woman gambling alone at 1 end of the table? Which individuals are smoking? Which appear apathetic? Which seem intoxicated or annoying? Select a position where you’ll feel the most comfortable.
I like competing on the end, immediately beside to the dealer. On the end, I do not have to worry about gamblers on both sides of me. I don’t prefer wagering beside to the stickman because I always seem to get in the way of them reaching for the dice or moving the stick.
After competing for a bit, you’ll get a taste for your preferred seat. You do not have a choice when it’s filled. If you end up in a crappy spot (for example, an atrocious player is beside you), just shift to an additional free spot. If the table is packed, wait until a player leaves and take their seat. Be aware of a player "coloring up," which is an indication that she is leaving, and inform the dealer that you would like to move into her seat. The dealer will then reserve that location and not allow a new player to quickly take the spot. The croupier will gently ask the new candidate to switch to the spot that you vacate. Naturally, when you change locations, don’t forget to take your chips.
Players near you can affect your feeling and complete competing experience. They can make it exciting or horrible. You might get stuck next to a smoking heavyset player with horrid body odor, or it might be a group of heavily drinking babes spilling out of their skimpy tops. So, choose your spot wisely.
